English I- Periods 2,3,4
On exam day, you will be working on the final two pieces of your exam. The first hour will be dedicated to the Identification Part of the exam.
The second hour will involve both critical and creative thinking. You have been on a journey this year, one that has widened and stretched your abilities as a reader and as a writer. To prepare for this part of the exam, think about the texts and how they have impacted your growth as a reader/writer. Think about the symbols, the themes, literary devices, settings, foils, patterns, passages or quotations, conflicts and epiphany/realization moments that have impacted YOUR journey. You may even bring a notecard with a quote or passage from any of our texts that is relevant to your journey. Finally, if you were to give your journey a title,
what would it be?
If you consider the above information as preparation for the exam, you will have time to complete the exam. If you donít prepare, time may be an issue.
Please remember to bring 5-7 different colored pencils, crayons, or markers to the exam.
