Basic expectations
(1) I encourage revision of assignments, especially essays, after we have discussed the assignment.  Students are expected to meet with me with a revised draft prior to turning in a revision to be sure that they are on the right track.

(2) Give all assignments to me directly. Please do not leave them in my mailbox, give them to another teacher, leave them on my desk, email them, et c. Track me down and put the assignment in my hand.

(3) If you are absent, please email me to find out what to prepare for when you return. Field trips, arriving late to school, doctor appointments, vacations, et c. do not excuse you from completing work on time. (In cases of illness, we can arrange the timely completion of the work.) You are responsible for asking me what you will miss (and what you missed) if you wish to receive credit.

(4) Turn in any work that was due the day you were absent as soon as you return. (Again, with illnesses, we will arrange due dates on a case-by-case basis.)

(5) Late homework earns, at best, credit only. One letter grade a day is deducted from late essays, articles, or major projects.
