Brainfuse, e-learning is available Monday-Sunday 2:00 pm-11:00 pm from the Princeton Public Library's webpage (http://www.princeton.lib.nj.us) by entering your library barcode number. It provides homework help, a 24-hour writing lab, a 24/7 homework question center, and a foreign language center including Spanish speaking support. |

24/7 ACCESS to E-BOOKS |

A collection of over 314 reference titles of electronic books (e-books) which are online 24/7 for unlimited student and teacher use from anywhere—school or home. They are identical to the hard copy reference titles, but they allow simultaneous searching by multiple users. These titles, including 2008 releases, may be cross searched and material may be printed, e-mailed or bookmarked. There are citation builders and translation features for all titles.

ARTstor
A digital library of approximately 550,000 images and related data in the area of art, architecture, the humanities, and social sciences from museums and art collections throughout the world, with a set of tools to view, present, and manage images for research and pedagogical purposes.
As an unregistered user, you may search, browse, view images and image data, zoom in on and pan images for greater detail. In order to save images into groups and use other higher-level features, you will need to register an e-mail address from PHS.
In order to access ARTstor from home, each user must register for an individual account in the high school building.
Go to: http://artstor.org Click on “Go” in the top right box. Then click “Register” and follow the instructions.
For subsequent access, you may go directly to http://artstor.org and select “Login” at the top of the page. You may access ARTstor via this account from any location.
You need to re-authenticate your account from PHS every 120 days.
Access from PHS is automatic.
EBSCO
A database of over 3,000 journals with full text and abstracts. It also includes a Student Research Center, Business Searching Interface, NoveList, Points of View, and Literary Reference Center.
GREAT LIVES FROM HISTORY
Electronic reference books including the following titles: The Ancient World, The Middle Ages, The Renaissance, The 17th Century, The 18th Century, The 19th Century, The 20th Century, and Notorious Lives. It includes biographies of thousands of individuals, offering worldwide coverage of important men and women in all areas of achievement. Hard copies of these electronic books are available in the library’s Reference Section.
JSTOR
Contains complete articles from hundreds of scholarly journals dating from the 1800s. Articles appear in original format and may be downloaded, e-mailed, and printed.
To access JSTOR for the first time, it is essential to create an account for yourself for remote access.
1. Go to the link for JSTOR which a member of the library staff will provide to you.:
2. You will be directed to the Login/Register for MyJSTOR page. Click on the “Register” link to go to the MyJSTOR Registration page.
3. Complete the required fields to register a unique username and password. A unique e-mail address is required, but the e-mail may be of any type.
4. Click “Submit” to register your account. You will be redirected to the JSTOR main page.

MILESTONE DOCUMENTS IN AMERICAN HISTORY
A fully illustrated set, treating over 130 iconic documents from the Revolutionary era to the twenty-first century. Each entry offers the full text of the document in question as well as an in-depth analytical essay that places the document in its historical context. It is an unparalleled reference tool for students conducting primary source research. Teachers’ guides containing student activities are also available at the site. Two volume hard copy available in the library’s Reference section.
NOODLETOOLS
Online program to quickly generate, edit, and publish an MLA Works Cited list or APA Reference List. This program takes care of punctuation, alphabetization and formatting and produces a polished source list that may be directly imported into Word documents. Individuals each create a personal folder to open a free account.
Click “Create a personal ID” to register the first time you use it.
OXFORD ENGLISH DICTIONARY
Full access to the Oxford English Dictionary.
PROQUEST HISTORICAL NEWSPAPERS
Complete access to The New York Times from 1851-2005, The Wall Street Journal from 1889-1991, The Washington Post from 1877-1992, and The Christian Science Monitor from 1908-1995 in full-page images. Simultaneous searching of newspapers is possible.
SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN and SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN MIND
The complete archive and all content from January 1993 along with the latest monthly issue. Additional option is to include Nature Publishing Group journals in the search.
