Selective Service Registration

The Selective Service System (SSS) is encouraging all 17 and 18-year-old men to register. All men must register within 30 days of their 18th birthday. The fastest and easiest way for men to comply with the law is to register via the SSS web site (www.sss.gov).  Students may also obtain a registration form (HS7) from their guidance counselor or at their local post office. Remember to fulfill your civic and legal obligation.

Military Access to Secondary School Students

In December of 2001 the Federal Government enacted The National Defense Education Act, FY 2002 (Public Law 107-107, 115 Stat 1012).  Section 544, Military Access to Secondary School Students states, that schools shall, upon a request made by military recruiters for military recruiting purposes, provide access to secondary school student names, addresses and telephone listings.

The district’s responsibilities are to inform parents/guardians of the legislation.  Please sign, detach and return the statement below.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the guidance office at (609) 806-4282.
