Students from all over the world attend Princeton High School.  English Language learners are tested to determine which students need ESL instruction.  ESL students receive instruction in learning English and academic skills.  Students in ESL levels I through III receive two periods of  ESL instruction per day as their Language Arts class.  ESL IV students receive one period of ESL instruction per day and one period of Transitional English offered by the English Department.

In addition, Bilingual Support classes provide help with students’ content area classes.  In order to measure students’ progress in learning English, students take the ACCESS Test every spring.  Also, students sitting for the HSPA are eligible for special accommodations including extended time and the use of dictionaries.
